Performs tasks within acceptable limits for quality, quantity, sanitation, and timeliness of completion, paying particular attention to prevent and eliminate costly errors.
Demonstrated ability to perform troubleshooting and
repair
tasks on power transmission components, (shafts, bearings, drive belts, drive chains and gear boxes), pumps, and valves, piping systems, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Troubleshooting and repair of pumps, valves and piping systems to include pipe threading
Troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic cylinders and controls
Troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic cylinders and controls
Must be able to perform routine setup and operation of drill press, lathe, mill and grinding machine.
Basic layout for steel fabrication, welding of carbon steel and pipe threading required. Knowledge of mechanical blueprint reading required.
Understanding of basic water treatment principles
Work experience maintaining chillers, cooling towers, HVAC, compressors, boilers, water treatment and other facility systems is a plus.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area, in accordance to 5s standards, by cleaning spills and disposing of trash on a timely basis
Follows all Company policies and procedures related to safety. Maintains only the highest safety standards by wearing proper PPE, etc.
Complies with Company policies and perform other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Required
4 years industrial maintenance experience to include pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, metal fabrication and machine shop equipment
Predictive maintenance experience and/or Journeyman certificate preferred.Skills & Abilities Needed
