Project Engineer/New Product Launch Engineer - Custom division
Recruiting mechanical or industrial engineers with experience in new product launches. Engineer will direct, coordinate and exercise functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within areas of assigned responsibility. This person must be able to work hands-on when necessary to achieve project objectives, capable of maintaining constant surveillance over manufacturing processes for the purpose of reducing and controlling costs, and able to plan and formulate technical projects and organize those involved according to project requirements.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Industrial or equivalent
5 years' experience in a related technical position, including quoting and estimating experience.
Ability to read and understand drawings/technical documents; apply engineering principals to analyze and evaluate data; handle and manage multiple tasks/projects.
Experience with and ability to travel to domestic and international customer and vendor sites as required (up to 15%)
Computer skills require proficiency in MS Office with strong Excel spreadsheet knowledge
Preferred
Experience:
Hands-on experience on production shop floor performing troubleshooting and continuous improvements; i.e., working knowledge of CNC equipment.
Ability to specify installs and operate machinist equipment; i.e., milling machine, press, brake, bender
Familiarity with processes used for metal fabrication, such as roll forming or mill experience
Metalworking that includes steel or aluminum (sheets, shapes or extrusions)
Knowledge of computer software: MS Project, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and ability to learn new software options such as Visual manufacturing software
Additional education or background in Business AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
