Sales Support Specialist

Responsible for supporting sales staff by providing administrative, clerical and customer support.
Follows up with customers, completes Purchase Orders and processes all paperwork required to
facilitate the progression of a job from beginning to a satisfactory end.
Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential. A strong knowledge of Windows-based PC software applications including an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required. Knowledge of Quick Books would be favorable but is not required.
A demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and exercise diplomacy and sound judgment at all times in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment is necessary.
Must be customer-focused with good organizational skills and able to locate information resources both internal and external. Excellent follow-up capabilities, strong communication and the ability to contribute in a team environment.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Support and assist Sales Team with customer orders. This is accomplished by:
(A). Sourcing for specific products and obtaining competitive pricing. This will be done by Internet search and telephone inquiries to vendor specific contacts.
(B). Handle orders, complaints and other inquiries.
(C). Perform data entry specific to the task performed; Invoicing, Quoting, Purchasing and Inventory Tracking.
(D). Respond to emails, phone calls and other forms of correspondence.
Maintain client database and most current customer information. Correspondence with customers - must have a pleasant telephone voice, and professional etiquette with client correspondences.
(E). Purchasing of materials needed to complete a customer's order.
(F). Receiving - data entry for parts and materials to be warehoused for customer orders.
This is not an accounting position so such skills are not required. Hours will be 8:30am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday with 30 minutes for lunch (45 min on Fridays). This has a starting range of $13 to $15 an hour, based on knowledge and experience. If the person who fills this position shows immense knowledge, productivity, and great customer service, the pay would increase commensurately.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
