2nd Shift Supervisor

PRIMARY DUTIES:
Lead the development, training, and operation of production associates, working on the plant floor to implement lean manufacturing techniques, including 6S.
Drive EHS, quality, 98%
service level and productivity at 5%
annually.
Communicate a vision for area performance and evaluate individual and team progress towards goals in safety, quality, delivery and productivity. (Processes include milling, set, punch, grinding, paint, printing and packaging)
Responsible for conducting team member performance appraisals and in developing the skills of team members.
Administer manufacturing and company policies in a direct and consistent manner.
Actively participate in and/or lead process improvement (Kaizen) teams to get cross-functional ideas and support.
Use Plant Metrics and pareto issues/opportunities to drive process improvement projects.
NECESSARY
Qualifications:
Prior supervision / leadership / lean manufacturing / military experience with degree preferred
2 years minimum experience in high-volume manufacturing environment
Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization and to lead projects and improvement activities
Self-starting, results-oriented individual who can be part of a team as well as stand up for tough decisions when required
Must be well-organized, able to handle multiple projects and priorities, and be adept at information gathering and technical decision-making
Career oriented to develop into manager role
Familiar with ISO9001 and ISO14001
Willing to travel occasionally
