What You Will Do

The Powder Coating Specialist will provide process, materials, and/or equipment technical expertise to the powder coating process to maintain production performance or restore process capability. Recommends improvements to the powder coating process. This role also develops improved process instrumentation and control strategies, process safety, yields, capacity and uptime performance. The Powder Specialist will train Painters and serves as first response to powder-related technical issues and assists in trouble shooting process or equipment issues.


  1. Responsible to complete all preventative maintenance on all powder room equipment daily.

  2. Responsible for training all personnel on the use of equipment to meet customer specs and satisfy OSHA safety standards.

  3. Responsible for datapaq and develops oven temperatures per TDS

  4. Notifies the Director of Operations and Facilities Manager of recurring equipment malfunctions, and of corrective actions taken.

  5. Performs troubleshooting to identify the cause of a problem within the paint rooms, and to implement a fix, as required.

  6. Managing and ordering of powder and paint room inventory.

  7. Order PPE for the paint rooms, manage PPR stock, and assign PPE to all paint room employees including training on PPE use.

  8. Comply with Safety policies and procedures, reporting any unsafe work conditions.

  9. Responsible for developing processes and programs for paint gun settings.

  10. Must maintain and record all preventative maintenance reports.

  11. Perform other duties as requested.

  • Associates Degree in a related technical field desired.

  • High School Diploma/GED required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing/coating environment required.

  • Drug Screen and Criminal Background check required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
